Fangirl

Fangirl refers to a member of female fandom, as opposed to the masculine "fanboy". Fangirls are generally perceived as less interested in debates on canon, and more interested in the (often romantic) relationships between fictional characters, such as slash and shipping fanfic.
"Fangirl" is sometimes used in a derogatory sense, though it can also be self-reference|self-referential in a facetious manner.Template:Credit
